Some projects find you at the right moment. Mital Shah had conceived something genuinely rare: a luxury editorial series that rejected the conventions of travel publishing entirely. No itinerary. No hierarchy of landmarks. A thread of human encounters, one person leading to the next, a place revealing itself from the inside out.
The books she produced with our work are objects in the truest sense — limited edition, exquisitely printed, distributed with the kind of deliberate selectivity that makes them collectible rather than consumed. The attention Mital brought to every detail of production, from the paper stock to the sequencing of images, was the same attention she brought to every room we walked into together.
That attention opened doors. The stories of the people we met are ones I'll always carry. Being a guest inside someone else's life, for just a moment, is always a gift.
