There was nothing normal about Pride in June of 2020. Working with Gianmaria Schonleib, The DIY Guide to Wearing Your Pride was born. We felt that it was still important to celebrate Pride, even from a distance. Pride is, after all, about the fight for equality — something we have yet to achieve in this country and something we must continue to strive toward every day.
Mark worked with a team of talented creatives to produce a printed guide to share a dose of delight and show people how they can celebrate Pride and express their uniqueness in a fun manner. It might not be a parade float, but it’s something. And, we think that pursuit of creativity and joy and love can also do some good for the world — which is why everyone involved donated their time and efforts so that we could donate 100% of the proceeds to the Marsha P. Johnson Institute, a trans rights organization we’re proud to support. The shoot was produced virtually by Air Productions.
