The day of the Westworld season premier, HBO closed down Hollywood Boulevard in front of the Chinese Theater so we could build a studio and film the Westworld cast. We arrived in the morning and built a 30 x 40 foot studio with 20-foot tall walls. We created a pristine, peaceful setting in the middle of a major roadway. We brought in a 25-foot technocrane and a steadicam, built our clean, geometric set, then filmed the entire cast during one amazing hour. The whole process took 12 hours, from building the studio, to it being torn down as we edited and delivered the assets that night.
